Dom became the ED of Surf Canada in July 2018 after 12 years with the British Columbia Surfing Association (BCSA) as their President.   He also co-founded Canada’s first Pro/Am surf competition, the1988 Westbeach Summer Surfjam, on Vancouver Island, which led to the formation of the BCSA and continues to this day as the Rip Curl Canadian National Championships.  Dom was the Canadian U21 Champion, 3 X National Team member representing Canada at 3 World Championships.

Currently, Canadian Surf and SUP athletes have made a massive impact on the World stage, including medals and World Championships in SUP, top 10 in Junior Surf and a WSL 6star event win. In 2018, Canada was World ranked at a very impressive 10 out of 48 Nations, and with plenty of room to continue to improve; Canadian athletes have their eyes on the ultimate prize in Tokyo 2021 for Surfing’s Olympic debut.
